International Week Heats Up

No tips today but we're tracking some interesting data for the weekend.

The collective groan of football fans can be heard anytime we’ve got an international break. It’s justified to be honest. The pure greed of FIFA is clear to see and the games offer little to no entertainment nor competitive merit.

But alas we must play the cards as they are dealt.

As punters it’s our job to ensure we capitalise where we can, and whilst most steer clear of international fixtures we think it’s a good opportunity.

Most casual punters I know get sucked into an England Bet Builder pushed by the bookies and always waste a tenna on the effort. Don’t make that rookie mistake.

However there is less data to work with and more intangibles with internationals..

Travel distances, starting line ups etc can all vary wildly from game to game.

But that is data we can crunch, it just takes some skill and patience.

So this weekend we will be having a few selections for you in both team and player prop markets, but likely with less aggressive staking to account for the weaker data sets.

Also it’s worth noting that you can make a cheeky few quid on League One and other lesser covered leagues during international breaks.

Whilst we all love a top 5 league punt, there’s something satisfying about correctly predicting a Yeovil Town win. Almost as if you feel you earned it more because you dug deeper into the mines of lower league football and didn’t spend the week having every newspaper blasting you with information about the upcoming fixtures like they do with the Premier League.

We’ll also be looking to exploit some of those too!

Stay tuned for some MetaMatch analysis and predictions and enjoy your Thursday…
